Fiction Writer,
Essayist, Poet:
Pushcart Prize nominee, KJ Hannah Greenberg's lightly pert and somewhat exuberant, layered writing can be found in North American, in European, in Oceanic, in Middle Eastern, and in Far Eastern venues, as well as under select budgies. Her creative efforts are devoted to lovers of slipstream fiction, to second chair oboe players and to mothers who despair of finding the bottom of Mt. Laundry. Hannah's newest book, Oblivious to the Obvious: Wishfully Mindful Parenting, is available at French Creek Press.
Rhetoric Professor:
National Endowment for the Humanities awardee, KJ Hannah Greenberg once filled her time lecturing on: ancient systems of rhetoric, communication theory, feminist sociology, the morality of discourse, instructional communication, and related topics. Whereas, these days, she's most content teaching creative writing, her book Conversations on Communication Ethics, nonetheless, remains a respected contribution to research on the relative accountability of various social gatekeepers.
Science Writer and Editor:
The Weizmann Institute of Science, The University of Pittsburgh's Medical Center, and Westinghouse Electric Corporation count among the clients Hannah has assisted in developing specialized texts. When not "translating" technical discourse into more ordinary communication, Hannah might be found teaching ecology or geometry to high school students.
Literary Critic:
Few gelatinous monsters offend Hannah. These days, she analyzes, interprets and evaluates the speculative fiction genre's best printed short stories, novelettes and novellas for Tangent and helps out with short and flash fiction offerings, as an Associate Editor, at Bewildering Stories. What's more, Hannah read creative nonfiction and poetry for Sotto Voce, and, in a former life, served on the staff of Three Rivers Poetry Journal.
Blogger/Columnist:
Hannah can't keep her opinions to herself. Since 1975, she's been paid to espouse her views on everything from llamas to teenagers' lame rationale. Among the recent venues hosting her serial essays are: The Jerusalem Post (Israel), Type-A Mom (USA), The Mother Magazine (UK), and Kindred (Australia).
Wife, Mom, Friend:
Hannah's husband calls her either names that are private, but are equivalent to "Snuggle-Ums," or he calls her "My Dear Practitioner of Constructivist Epistemology." Her children refer to her as "Mom" or as "The Progenitor of That Miscreant Who Hid the Lizard in the Wash." Her friends don't summon her at all unless they've misplaced their adolescents, are seeking a quick lentil soup recipe, or need to be inspired to face the accrued crude in their bathroom sinks.
Keeper of a Hibernaculum of Imaginary Hedgehogs:
By midlife, most gals have earned the right to run with wolves. Some women, however, prefer the company of smaller, cuter beasts.
